Another little poetry tidbit~ This one's a little short, but it's part of a series of poems concerning the time Mike and I were apart in high school but I still acutely remembered him. I spent some time trying to conjure up all the strong emotions from my past that I never really had a chance to get out or express the way I'd like to have done, and I found a true wellspring of inspiration in that. Enjoy~

From the very moment you entered my life,
When I wrote, if I wrote,
Somehow you always sneaked in,
Like an insight-thief, like a thought-stalker,
Like a small slip of yellow laughter in the dark
That I secretly, deep-darkly wanted,
Making me wonder why and why me?
Poor girl, obsessed with something years gone
And forgotten by everyone else,
Even by the dear inspiration.
